Teresa Lauria

Background: BSc. (Hons) Chemistry (2012) and MSc. Chemical Sciences (2014) – University of Naples Federico II, Italy.

Research Project: Protein-targeted molecular scissors and oncogene knockout in human cells: targeting effects on bcl-2 and c-myc.

My project involves exploiting the versatility of “click chemistry” to conjugate  artificial metallo-nucleases (AMNs) to sequence-selective, nucleic acid-targeting molecules including Zinc-finger proteins (ZFPs), transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs) and triplex forming oligonucleotides (TFOs).

Funding body: ClickGene - Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2014-642023).
